Penny Whiskey - Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival

Penny Whiskey is a band who has a good time doing what they love most…entertaining. The brain child of Kirk McWhorter (from the critically acclaimed Celtic band Kilbrannan) Penny Whiskey promises to offer the best in music from both Ireland and Scotland along with home grown bluegrass, folk and rock influences...and that touch of crunchy electric guitar that gets you onto your feet.

Known far and wide for their outstanding vocal harmonies, whether playing classic, somber, originals or hilariously comic music, Penny  Whiskey
is the melodic unforgettable vocals of Kirk McWhorter, who also plays banjo, bodhran and whistles, backed up by the truly inspirational playing of Jon Carlson on acoustic guitar; Dan Lelito's solid bass, Paul Kneis supplying his own flash on mandolin, guitar and flute, and Paul Runfola (who took 2nd place in the North American Rock Guitar Competition) whose electric guitar is brilliantly and instantly recognizable - and of course, everybody sings... including the audience!

With audience participation songs, rousing pub sings, comedy tunes and tearful ballads, Penny Whiskey offers something

for everyone!
